Where do the treasures come from?

Sometimes the book comes first. Sometimes the object does.

Antique shops, flea markets, estate sales and odd little corners become part of the process. A tiny teapot, old postcard, pink glass candleholder, strange figurine, medicine bottle or forgotten piece of silver may suddenly belong to a story.

The hunt is not separate from the work. It is part of the reading.
